Right place, right time. Fastest speed ever at Brog!

The wind took a long time to fill in but I got out as soon the conditions allowed me to get planing on 72L + 6.2m. I sailed upwind, dropped the sail in a lull and then faffed about in the doldrums for at least five minutes without an uphaul but with a deep luff tube full of water and a sinky board!

When I did manage to get going everything felt sweet and for my first run I caught the most peachy gust that I've ever experienced at Brog! My peak of 37.8 knots (43.5 mph) is 3.2 knots faster than I have ever done before at the lake. It almost felt like a run at the Ray or WK except for the chop which makes it scarier. My main thought was "don't spin out, don't spin out, don't spin out" but my Talon retained it's grip and I couldn't believe the numbers I saw on the dial afterwards!

My 10s was around 2 knots faster than my previous best but that was only because I ran out of lake during the run!

What a day. That one run has made my speed sailing year at Brog!
