Well it was WINDYYYYYYY!

But... (there is always one isnt there...)  it was West-NW, which is too broad.  We could sail the shorter inside course, (just), but the issue was building speed up on entry into this run, as t's over fairly choppy water coming straight down the channel.

Still got 45.5 peak, asme as yesterday in Dungarvan.

That said - this location is 25 minutes from my favourite wavesailing spot in Ireland, and I know for a fact it gets seriously windy up here all the time.  I sail on 3.2m all the time up here.

Dungarvan is so much of a lottery... it might be windy, it might not, and you never know unless you burn a tank of diesel going to find out. The ideal wind - SW - comes over the hills and goes all funny. It can be 35 knots 2 miles away, and 20 on the course - for no reason.

In Bunbeg - the weather is steaming in straight from the north atlantic, nothing in the way.

This place is gonna be fast!  Watch this space :)
