RemarksAn early start for the second day of speed week but not quite early enough it seems - the wind started to die off soon after we started. I rigged my 5.4m and 6.2m before the briefing (when it was windy) and when we were about to start, 6.2m seemed like the right choice. Not long into the session, I realised that I could have done with my shiny new 7.2m and a bigger board to match but I persevered with my kit in the hopes that a squal might come through- which it didn't. I seemed to be sailing pretty fast compared to the other guys but to be honest, there wasn't enough wind for the hardened speed sailors! My official speed over the 544m course was 29.79 knots and I appeared 18th in the rankings (out of the 60 sailors that day).

Tech Details: Navi GT-11 v1.62 (B1115), GPSAR Pro v2.7, Doppler.
