gps-speedsurfing

After not windsurfing for 8 years and competing against windsurfers on a kite I have had a itch to have a crack at Kirby and thanks to the legend that is Gumpy at http://www.juiceboardsports.co.uk/  who loaded my van up with an obsene amount of kit this morning I finaly got to scrach that itch.

A big thanks to Darren for rigging a tushy 5.2m speed sail that at the time did seem a bit big for my first propper outing on speed kit which didnt last to long as the boom snapped spinning out on the first run with a 41 knot peek, Also I have to thank the guy who jumped in to help and carried the board back along the wall but im sorry I cant remember your name.

I managed to go back out on a 4.2m Rock wave sail which probably shouldnt be the best sail for speed sailing but proved to be very stable at high speed and got me up to a 43 knots peek which im well happy about.

It was good to see the top guys breaking the big 50 and all in all a top day was had.

Thanks again

Dave
