i want to buy a new gps but i have a question!!
which gps can i buy that has usb portal for my laptop and is compatible to the GPSAR and this website???

| Hi Nich, I would recommend the Edge 205 that I use since half a year. In several threads in this forum the properties of the old devices with the 2.4m grid effect and the new units with 9.3mm resolution have already been discussed. If you want to stick to GPSAR you have to use g7towin to download the trackpoints from the Edge and save them in gpx-format or you can use GPSResults that can download the data directly. |  | | |

| Hi Nick, no, the Edge shows km/h or mph (miles per hour) only. So the Max. Speed has to be divided by 1.852 to have it in knots... However, the evaluation of the data with GPSAR or GPSResults of course gives both km/h and knots. Btw, the Edge manual can be downloaded from Garmin in pdf-format (http://www.garmin.com/manuals/967_OwnersManual.pdf). Cheers, Manfred | | | |
