I was wondering what everyone does (i am new to this) .  When you get to the water to go sailing...Do you turn on the unit and leave it alone til your done for the day?  Or are you making new files for each sailing run ?

Just turn it on, and off at the end of the session, as long as you have followed the setup correctly it will save the data to the memory card, then pop it in your PC as see your stats.
