Strange session. Arrived early, but Jacques was even more early, and on the water already. Checking the conditions, I noticed I had trouble walking against the wind, so that should be around 30 knots, I thought. So picked smallest gear, Missile and 5.0. When entering the water, the wind dropped already a little, but I reconed that would be temporarily, but no.... So the first 45 minutes I did nothing but swim. Went back and changed to 5.8 and 61cm speedslalom. Better choice ! Too bad I could only do 4 good runs, otherwise this would have been a personal top 5, no it is only the seventh....  Reason only for runs could be done, was the dying wind..

Kon maar net blijven planeren met het grootste wat ik bij me had ... onvoorstelbaar dat de windvoorspelling er zo ver naast zit en dattie echt totaal wegviel!

Was duidelijk 2 uur te laat, getuige de anderen.

Didn't believe in record breaking conditions on the various high speed courses so went to good old Herkingen very early today to catch some wind and to fine tune the new Speed 50. 

Hopefully next week one very fast speed session somewere to end 2011 in a good way.

Wederom drama, JvdH had alle wind op gemaakt! 1 runnetje en het was over en uit. Op naar Oostvoorne om wat met de grote boot te spelen dan maar.

What a strange meteoday...

After waiting some hours, the wind piccked up in the afternoon again (after the wind that I missed in the morning).

The direction was perfect with 280° more going to WNW then expected giving perfect flat speedconditions.

Only dissapointing fact was that the wind lasted for 5-10minutes and backed off again to a gusty 15 knots.

Very happy with my fastest run, that shows again that my lowwind speedset is still perfectly balanced for those kind conditions (Board-pr for me).

I think it will be my last 2011-sessions, because of a full meeting-agenda this week and temperatures that will drop after next weekend. Time to set the mind to snowboarding and sailing for the winter. ;-)

's Namiddags nog een beetje gespelevaart voor het strandje.

Vond mijn GPS niet meer terug (was in de auto ergens tussengevallen), dus geen posting.

Ik schat nog een 15tal km goed kunnen planeren met Carve 111 + NP V8 8.0m onder een mooi zonnetje.

Is toch altijd beter dan een dag zonder surfen :-)

Toch een beetje een memorabel dagje met dank aan mijn schoonbroer voor de spannende afsluiter van de sessie ;-)

als er geen wind is kan je niet varen

dacht op tijd te zijn voor speedsessie, te lang getreuzeld wat te doen, de heer J v H is een echte crack op alle surf gebied. op tijd 7.30!! uur aanwezig, op tijd het water op en vooral niet treuzelen . waardeloze sessie gefrustreerd huiswaart gekeerd en een sauna sessie genomen.
