First session of the year. I went late to get the best tide, but may have been too late as became rainy and squally. Pieter had been out earlier and got a good run in with a 39 knot peak, but was unable to repeat it while I was out. So a bit gutted that Pieter beat my 2 knots in my own backyard. Was very difficult conditions and I definately should have been on 6.0 when the squalls came. I just could not get a good line as the wind had turned a bit more east making it impossible to sail between the waves which were pretty close together.

Still can't help but notice the positional tracks are much smoother than the doppler tracks which have a sawblade look about them.

Can't be too disapointed as a 37 knot top speed is a good start to the year. Just felt like it could have been better.

Had a nice sail with Tom. Should do this more often, love it!
