Much better day than I was expecting, but not perfect as it was very square (again), I'd guess it was around 110 degrees. Very gusty, and pretty hard to get your timing right to catch the big gusts. I normally seem to catch the gusts when I'm coming back up wind. Stayed out till about 8.30pm/9pm, if I had known that I was so near to a PB, I would have stayed out longer and tried a bit harder. Sailed with Mark B, Chris B, Ali N. About 8pm, Steve T turned up, perfect timing as the wind picked up a bit.

Great day

Was totally gutted I had to go to work before the wind picked up !   But a sail is better than no sail,

Enjoyed it while it lasted

First speedboard session in about 6 months. I started out quite comfy on my 6.4 but during the evening it started to pick up a bit so I added a bit more downhaul but the wind continued building up to the point where the 6.4 was just way much for me. Guess the wind did as forecast and I really should have come in to change down earlier - will try not to make that mistake again !

not much wind and had to leave ealy to go to a festival...boooo

Re uploaded with 2 sbn files.

Had to work until 4pm, then a 2.5hr drive to Kirby. Luckily 8-10pm coincided with the best wind and there was no one else out!

Kit was working perfect as usual once I'd remembered what to do with it, and good times for me on a 5.5m (which was a 2010) and still with a 17cm fin. Looking forward to getting the new sails and TeXtreme Moo-k4fins.

Huge well done to the Dutch guys who smashed a lot of records today http://www.gps-speedsurfing.com/default.aspx?mnu=forum&forum=2&val=38567

Cracking peaks Steve, I guess if it had been a proper wind direction the peaks would have 50+, sorry to have left at 8.30pm but was foooked by then:)

Im slightly gutted to have got a 500m @ 39.91k, as I'm still trying to crack that 500m/40k to join the old school 40k club, one soon hopefully:)

Another great session at the Kirb with Chris Bates, Mark Hayfors, Mark Bailey and Steve Thorp, plus David Temple made the trip up from down south after the lack of decent speedsailing conditions the past few months.

Wind was pretty square and gusty so very hard to get any decent speeds but i managed to improve my peak speed to 36.66 knots so happy with that. Tried out my new 2012 6.6 Koncept for the first time and was blown away with the performance, rock solid in the biggest gusts and so stable.

Well done to Thorpy for his great peak speeds and showing how it's done again, great to watch
