After my return from the production facility in Poland I immediately had a chance to test some new fins. The wind was super gusty and really light nearly all of the time. I could hardly get planing on the 7.0 but got one very nice gust while having the UFO Weed Speed under my board. In the run-up the fin felt very well behaved pointed high and I could rail it like a normal high aspect fin. When going into the gust I felt the board was riding very high on the water with a loose but relatively flat angle. It seems to be working great in weed conditions flat water looking at this one solid run I got in.
Also what suprised me is the fact that at 46 wide tailwidth the 30 felt even a little big and I think a 28 would have been percfect. Tomorrow we might get a little higher base wind and hopefully some nice gusts to longer test the behaviour. All in all our finline is nearing completion and I am very happy wth the progress we've made the last couple of months.
