Foretrex 201 results.
Didn't feel over powered allday, mayme should have rigged the 7. Nice to see the lads from the south coast on such a cold day.

First time at West Kirby and it was well worth the 8.5 hour round trip drive to check it out. Next time though I'll bring some booties as the water isn't all that warm.

Wind up and down all day.
Got a good gust at the end of the day but the big wind never came through.

Simon H was sailing like a guru with his s#it hot Demons. Had a go and was well impressed. The foot of the sail was so well suited to narrow speed boards and the pull was so focused into one spot. Keen to try this sail in anger on a broad course.

SLOW,SLOW,Slow. Got down late (daddy duties) and on the water about 1.30ish. Speedboard/Warp 6.4m, felt slow as the course was tight. I'm always slow on a tight course so thought today would be a good opertunity to sort out a few tuning and stance issues. Got 4 or 5 runs in and came in for some advice and tuning, I went into the options on my Garmin 201 to stop it recording (downloads faster). Like an idiot, I forgot to start it recording again for the rest of the day and wondered why my speeds where not going up, simple mistake, but ruined the days results!!!! Only recorded 5 slow runs. Not sure if or how much faster I was going latter in the day, but it did feel slightly faster. Lesson learn't, wont make this mistake again.

It was a great day, superb sight seeing so many speedies out. Loads of great speeds from Windy J, Neil H, Simon H, Adam & Peter D and loads others. Every one was really fired up and making the most of the tight gusty conditions, no one looked slow.

Great day

Not Enough Wind

I sunk

LOL
11/25/2007 2:16:40 PMPeter Crook

Direction = W

Not a quick day and less windy than anticipated with just gusts coming though.

Felt a bit underpowered off the wind on the 6.4.

Tried the 5.8/Falcon speed combination but not enough wind for me.
