Great day. Totally shagged now though. Was really fun having lots of guys out and everyone was getting good numbers - esp M.v.M - his last run of the day - holy crap!!! Well done mate!

We started on the top course with really good angle, a little bumpy (if i'm being picky), with some nice gusts. Around about midday a little 50 knot rain squall came through which killed the wind. It filled back in at a different angle which meant the lower course was the way to go. Normally it is super smooth down there, but today it was a little lumpy so the speeds weren't as good as what they could have been. It's amazing how quickly you get bummed by seeing 43's on the dial (and this was my first day over 42)

1st time I have managed to sail the Ray. What a day!
My fastest 10 sec and fastest max ever. Unfortunately I span out on the 1st run and twisted my knee and the rest of the runs suffered with my final run crashing and putting a hole in the sail, Bummer. Classic day at the Ray defiantly I will be back. Congrats to Martin who managed an over 50 knot peak and 49k 10 sec, amazing.

I am so glad I have my entry into the record attempt at Southend in Jan after these results.

Hi Dave

well done mate, that looks to be the fastest 500 meter recorded by a New Zealander. That will give Chris and I something to try and nail. Good effort.
Cheers
Luke

Well done to all. The conditions were amazing.

Unfortunately it just went from bad to worse for me but I'll be back.

What a day......
To see Martin do 50.k was a great. what a run, he caught a 45-50k gust at 135-140 and took it home. Fantastic.
As he passed me walking back up the course I knew it was quick but not that quick.
TM45v6 was solid all day, got best times after running it into a mussel bank, is not pretty but still quick.
Tushingham X-15 5.8 was solid and controllable in the gust.
Cant wait till "Driven by speed" is up and running, that will make Southend the number 1 speed spot.

Hummm........
Quite good I suppose!

Bad Day sailing for me. Did enjoy it though
Used Way too much lead in the Weight jacket so totally exhausted after 30 mins!!
I won't use that again on a broad course LOL.
Well done to everyone on all their maxes, especially Jonny - Well done mate.
