Nice and quiet Herkingen sesj. Wind was up and down and shifty, but there were good moments!

Thanks Hans for letting me try the JP Speed 50 with 23 fin, is very easy going :)

Stoked on the results didn't expect the alpha to be this high :) Nice to be at Herkingen when it is not overcrowded. Used all my speedboards today 45/50 and 54 today and got them all over 81 topspeed and with 6,4 and the 50 even 84kmh also did the alpha with this set. Turned off the light with Danny got off the water at 18;45 because it was hard to stop surfing

Afterwork session, was underpowered most off the time.

But at the end we had some nice gusts and good do two better runs.

Turned the light out with Hans K.

Nice birthday session :-)

Wind, sun and my new gear... What a BIG difference with my 2013 sails. Leaps of power even on RDM mast. It's like I was using 1m bigger !! Downside: what will i do when it's 5-10 kts more wind??? I was very good powered today with my 5.6 in 30-38 kts of wind. Even went back to tension the downhaul a bit more but speeds stayed the same with more wind. I might have overtensioned the downhaul a bit  i guess. I am just not used to the power...grrr. And I was on the water the whole day with 10 kgs extra weight !! Maybe I should look for a second hand 5.6 2013 so I can have 2 sets ready: 5.6 2015 for 30-38 kts and 5.6 2013 for 38-45 kts ;-)

My condition was far from good, but that was no surprise knowing the circumstances the last few months... I also lost alot of energy trying to fasten my outhaul again when I suddenly broke my trim wheel.

It was a nice day with Paul, Hans, Alex, Danny and Rob. Thx Hans for trying your gear !! It's always nice to compare some trimsettings with my own settings. Very different from my settings were the harness lines (not only the length because you are using a waist harness), but also the position !! It's at least 5 inches more in front then mine. You really need muscle power on your back hand to close the gap and accelerate. It fellt very good, but I really need to exercise if I want to use the same settings. I have a more 'lazy' setup: Hook in and my sail is almost fully closed: I just need a little push to close the gap... Board and asy fin felt easy as well. Probably the wind was a bit less at that time, because it felt as I had the same amount of power in my 5.6 then in your 6.4. Next time I'll try the 25 asy under my board. It's always scary to push the limits with somebody's gear. You were really flying. Even with your 54 in the end you would have the dayranking... Amazing alpha as well !! I was expecting a far higher alpha for myself, but need to work on the upwind speeds...

Great day but still cold fingers. Anyway, I would like to celebrate my birthday next year with the same conditions :-)

Ja gelukt om de map op de computer te herstellen en de sessie alsnog goed te uploaden. Geen PR op de @ maar wel tevreden over het resultaat voor slechts de 3e sessie op de Mistral.
