Not a bad day - it started with a 14 mile bike ride around Felixstowe this morning with Mag - chilly but sunny :) Then with the wind supposed to build in the afternoon it was a case of keeping an eye on the Landguard weather station. Then Steve Carter facebooked to say he was going to The Dip so I decided to load the car and head down - I took  chance on the 133 and 7.8 and would have been better with the 147 and 8.5 !!! but I am limited to what I can get down - I miss my lovely vw van, hopefully will get it back next week, dent free :) With wind gusting to 15 mph I rigged and headed out at about 3 and was under powdered the whole session , NE used to be a good direction for some flat water especially at low water but the channel in the River Deben is now very narrow and shallow and the shingle bank is not brilliant either and it was never windy enough, so after beating up the the river I struggled to get going so returned to The Dip to back up and the sun had gone and it was very nippy :( air temperature of only 9 degrees and most of the 7 kiters out were still hats and gloves :( More NE's over the next couple of days with no sign of it warming up !!!
