The first time out on my 5.8 EVO6 and I achieved a new PR so I’m very happy although still a lot of work to do but a very good start. I played safe today and hooked it up to the 56.5 so it was a bit of a handful in the swell running close to the beach but next time I plan to man up and try it out on the 53 wide.
Altogether a pleasant days sailing with Paul, Karl and Gunter Jansen who I finally got to meet. What a fountain of knowledge and inspiration he is.
Well done Paul, I know you had to dig deep today but it’s time on the water that counts in the end.
Also, a big thank you to Juan who helped with moral support and for taking the wind meter readings for us all.
