A big thank you to Paul Stoyles for helping me get on the water today.

Arrived at the lake at 4.15ish but simply could not rig this sail. The wind was ok and the water was flat but despite continued attempts I was getting nowhere! The Cams were tearing bigger and bigger holes in the luff and I had also discovered a crack in the bottom of the mast (Thats the fifth broken mast this year.....) At this point I had really lost the plot and was on the verge of smashing up all of my gear. Fortunately Paul turned up at this point, restored a sense of normality and on rerigging we got the sail sorted. I've got to say though that big race sails are a bit of a joke though... New ones are far too expensive and old ones fall apart every time you use them.... Catch-22

On the water all was fun, wind was very light but a few gusts here and there and good exercise. Top weather and some lovely colours as the sun went down. Had a fun hour and if the wind was stronger more than 30 would not have been a problem.
