It was good to get out today while the conditions were light as it didn’t put too much pressure on my recovering sprained foot, almost back up to speed now. The wind was on shore with south in it so no long reaches today as the wind and waves were running in the same direction which was a shame as the wave period was 15 to 18 sec. Launched from Tress Vistas which saved a lot of tacking upwind. Also, the opportunity to tune my new 8,6 EVO6 with different settings could not be missed. I’m not happy with it yet as the 2nd and 3rd cam do not rotate, there must be something that I’m doing wrong!! Their were no other slalom sailors out on the water, Juan left today for 2 weeks in Madrid, Alexis is in Austria and Luciano was probably be spending time with his new wife. Another good reason to bag some time on the water. Marc got out later and was planning on 7.5 so it would have been perfect for Mike to try out his new 7.7 Hellcat and 110 Atom, however, he has only just got a plaster off his foot and it will be another month before he is fully fit again, fingers crossed.
