We had sand, we had seagulls, we had kiters, we had jetskis and we finally got some wind. Very tight course so could sail back upwind next to the bank. Not ideal for fast times but almost cracked the 40 at this location for the first time. Lots of sand in the air as the gusts hit 25 knots. Another 15-20 degree wind shift and 41s are for the taking. Rode slalom gear but when the wind clocks around the speed kit comes out of the truck and this Roo gets serious. Had a sweet alpha going back upwind, actually 6 of my best 8 were upwind ones...go figure!
