At last some wind! September has been a very bad month here in Fuerteventura but finally I was able to get out.

First time on the 'new to me' 5.8 Point 7 and what a wonderful sail it is. Beautifully balanced and an absolute pleasure to sail. With just a little more wind and a couple of tweeks and I think I could have bettered all my speeds to date. Lovely run down to Costa Calma but unfortunately the wind abruptly stopped when I got back to Matas so lots of swimming and a little help from a passing jet ski got me back on the beach. The exercise was useful though after so long of no sailing so no complaints.

All in all a fantastic day and looking forward to breaking a few of my own records but happy just to have improved my 500m a bit.
