A very nice day actually with some very steady even wind. Not really any squalls, the wind just varied slightly over longer periods. Mostly WSW but occasionally swinging back to the west and even almost WNW at times.
High tide was at 5.30pm so there was an hour or two where it was not ideal. When the tide started to drop the wind got a bit more variable but I thought it had picked up at one stage so I finally grabbed my 4.4m and first run was the best all day. Should have switched down a lot earlier from the 5m. Even when the wind eased back a bit it was easier to pull high 41's than earlier when I was on the 5m. The upside was that I think I now know how I have to tune the 5m to get the same feeling.
