| Remarks | It didn't look very good from the office but as I had to pop down to the club I hitched up the trailer and took my kit just in case.
Got there and it didn't look up to much so almost turned around and went back. But after seeing a few larger sails planing up the top end of the arm I decided to stay and rigged 7m and the Slalom 60.
It took what seemed like an age to get to the top of the arm with the gusty and variable wind. Once there it is was windier than I had anticipated, my 6.2m would have been plenty! Anyway stuck with it for a few runs then a huge storm brewed-up and it literally nuked, the 5m would have been perfect! Stacked it on the shore for a few minutes to let the squall pass then headed back to the club.
Thought I'd go and see if anyone was out on the other side at Whitwell and had a good burn off downwind to get there. Not much action and the usual horrible mixed-up chop and gusty wind greeted me and as the wind dropped off it took ages to get back upwind again. But hey, it produced a nice GPS track from around Rutland with 57km clocked.
Beat a few of my records again inc Alpha racing and the Rutland 1hr so not all bad from a nothing session.
