First day of what was to become a three day trip to La Franqui with Barry van Lingen and Sander van Huizen. We started off with medium winds of around 20-25 knots so we all rigged our 7.0 and medium slalomboards. In the afternoon the wind kicked in with gusts to 40 knots. So time to change gear, I went for the 5.7 but kept the iSonic 86 is it felt very stable in these conditions. Changed to a C3 venom 30cm fin and the battle was on.  We were all clocking runs over 70 now and nothing but smiles on the water. I actually got a new PR aswell. Fantastic day, fantastic spot, fantastic wind and afterwards a cold beer and BBQ.........windsurfers paradise!!
