WHAT A RUN!!!!
Still can't believe what I just did. What an amazing sport at an amazing spot with amazing people!!

Tried one mile but it was really wild, with waves coming in at the last 500m of that run. That's the next goal I guess, a fast mile and 500m ;-)

Was a nice battle with Vinnie, he got a bit scared after I did the magic run :-D Congrats with the speeds bro, and all the others with PR's!

Thanks a lot NeilPryde, JP-Australia, Tuinaanleg De Pauw, BNP Paribas Fortis, Two4one, Pacific Boardshop, Select fins and Unifiber for the support and the fast gear!!

really nice session today started with the 5.6 with no wind in the beginning then the wind kicked in really strong decided to keep sailing with the 5.6 til i had 86 avg. bad decision after all.

then took the 5.2 was much better too bad i didnt take this sail sooner but   really happy with the numbers.

big 10sec run of 90km/u and again a nice 500m happy :)

Wow, what a great day... Changed back to 5.2 with Speed 44 and first time test of Gasoil vin.. impressive and constant performance.

many people from Netherlands, strange to be 1500km from home and meet all of them. Cool to windsurf with Thierry, Nicolas, Pascal and Principe.. and yes.. next time I will go closer to the beach Raymond and Dennis :) look forward to the pictures.

Congratulations for the champions ;)

Wat een harde wind. ben er achter gekomen dat mijn board voor dit soort omstandigheden zo'n 15 cm te breed is. Resultaat verschillende craches een giek en twee trapezelijnen gesneuveld. Topdag dus.

fenomaly day for belgian speeders!!!!

Yes PR!!

Yehaa, trip to La Franqui again, this time with Gerlof and Dirk-Jan! Always a pleasure to sail on the Mediteranean blue seas!

First day today, which started off with difficult conditions: square, which means flat, but super strong winds. That's not easy. Took some time to get settled in, get the gear working again, adjusting to the conditions, finding the courage and wait for the right gust. In the end I'm ok with my result today, but hopefully I can improve on it tomorrow in hopefully slightly better conditions.

very very disappointed of me today , it was PR time !!!! but not for me !

congrats to everybody for your big speeds , especially for dennis !! good job!

when will it my day ... :(

First I want to thank Jean-Marc Degrelle and Vincent Valkenaers for getting my gear back to shore after I lost it. If they didn’t help me it was lost at sea and there was no more session for me today.

Started early with 5.6m because it was light (30kt)

At the start of my first run, I was lifted by a turbulent wind and my gear flipped out of my hands, tried to hold it but it was to strong. In a few seconds it was 100m away from me and moving fast. My weight vest, camelback and harness didn’t allow me to swim fast enough to get closer. The pain in my shoulder didn’t help either. There was no other solution than letting the gear go and return to shore to save my life. Jean-Marc witnessed it and jumped right away in the water to try to get it back, but also he couldn’t get it anymore. Than Vince jumped on his set and stopped the gear by throwing him in front of it, so JM could get it and sailed back with it. With great gratitude I promised both a bottle of Champagne!

After recovering I decided not to quit and waited for the real wind to kick in, so I was able to use the 5.1m. Wind kicked in really hard, for hours over 50kt, not to broad (bit square) water was flat but because of the stormy wind it was hard to keep everything down.

This was the best LF trip of my life, and for sure today the best speed day ever for me!

Thanks to all the people who helped me and motivated me so hard, special Koen & MP-ke, Vince, Dennis, and all the others for the great atmosphere!

Man what a session! Managed to better almost every PB:

I did one magical run, turning out to be a topspeed of 82.5 km/h and a run of 81.01 km/h on software (from GT-31)!!! (will send everything to timekeeper to check)

While I'm trying to do a 40kt 500m for years, I did today, two faster than 41kt!

2sec: +82.49 Km/h 44.54 kt

10 sec run: 81.00 Km/h  43.74 kt

500m: 77.4 Km/h 41.80 kt

5x10sec Avg: 76.49 Km/h 41.30 kt

Results are from GT-31

Magic day !!! but little form...

Very nice windy conditions, but struggled with controll today.

Took the camera and shot "a couple" of pictures :)

We 5 Sept 2019 Le Rouet de La Palme

Big Record Day!

Today is the last day of this LF-trip. I stayed two more days longer in Leucate, just to be able to have a blast today, as the forecast promised a very good speed day.

First I want to thank Jean-Marc Degrelle and Vincent Valkenaers for getting my gear back to shore after I lost it. If they didn’t help me it was lost at sea and there was no more session for me today.
