Very disapointed not to get a timed 50knot 500 today.

Didn't beat my GPS 500 from last year.

Probably have to park this one now for a while.

On the positive side PB average and pleased with my kit.

Fuck what a day, big gusts comming in and finally full power! Fastest 500m run felt so nice, missed some wind at the end of the course so the is some space for improvement. New 5.2 mach 3 is working great, 55.9 knot Vmax!!

coments later maybe new world record

Strong winds today, super fun to sail the channel...

WR day for Vincent (possibly, subject to verificatuion... as I post this ther are checking timing). In any case he ***king smashed it - 56 bknots peak!!!
I was on same board, same sail (5.2) and fin as Vincent, only I'm 31kg lighter when we both wear lead.
So in all... happy enough, but couldnt translate the power into more speed today.  Took a break to figure what to try and change, just as it went full crazy 66knots gusts, and then Gunnar had his crash, making a 2 piece boiom and 4 piece mast.  Once we knew he was OK and searched the course for his GPS (in case someone hit it), then sailed again later 2 last runs to sign off the day.
Tomorrow is another day... lets see what happens

1st day at the Lüderitz Speedchallenge. Went out at around 10 am with 5.6 and managed to get priority after 3 runs with 50.6kn on 500. Got faster and faster. Was leading the pack until it got super windy. Broke the 100km/h barrier quite easy for the 1st time juhuu. Took my 5.2 and crashed it after 2 runs already. 5.6 was too big by then, couldn*t even start anymore. That was exacly I was waiting for years, and then I couldn't sail as 5.6 was too big. Was sooo pissed. But will concentate on the next day and will try to get at least my German Record back. Wind super gusty 20-70kn!
