Woke up at 6:30. Cars in the street were all covered with ice. No wind... Just a beautiful day for windsurfing, isn't it?

170 km and almost 3 hours later arrived at the spot where it was raining all day. Happy to be on Dutch waters again in normal temperatures, however missing the floating coco-nuts... I guess you can call me addicted: Once a speedsurfer, always a speedsurfer !!

It was big fun together with Pat and Paul. Thx again to teammember Pat Driesen for using his 2012 Loft RB 6.3 (my 2013's are still inbound Europe).

Pat and Paul were using 7m² and in fact it was the same mast for the 6.3. I used a 400 mast instead, but we only had a RDM extension of 30cm and we needed 436... So at max donwhaul I was still missing 6cm's... Result: no loose leech at all, very heavy upwind and half wind sailing but everything better then not surfing !! Really looking forward to my new sails.

Used C3 SS25 in the beginning (run 3 and 5), but due to my handicap (other grip with my right hand, resulting in other stance and other foot pressure) I did a spinout full downwind... Not funny at all !! I am really sailing awkward with right hand/foot in front. I hope I can find a way to cope with that... Looking forward however to the days with LEFT in front !! I changed later to the Caspar Speed 29 and that fin gave me back my confidence.

6.3 was sometimes a bit small, but I just enjoyed sailing. Almost did 60 km's and did a few nice alpha's (highest 42.7) but all with a radius of 58-65 meter, GRRRRR :-(

Did some nice 500m's as well, but with a good trimmed sail (+6cm downhaul), speeds  would be a few knots higher i assume...

Furthermore thx to the Dutch police for only giving a warning: 120 kmph with a trailer seems to be not allowed in the Netherlands ;-)
