Just missed out on the better part of the day I think, during rigging it was still nuking. So I choose to go 5,6m² once on the water it seemed to be a bit on the small side. But since I trimmed my new Blade 6,3 earlier this week to be sailed on SDM, I had no option but to stay on 5,6m².
Anyway it was to square, so as a lightweight not my cup of tea and not the conditions to go for PR's.
But nevertheless a very nice day because it was the maidentrip of my new speedneedle 39*224 OFO 24 45lit New means; getting used to and that takes time. The straps are OK now, but it was difficult to find the mastfoot position because it was almost impossible to do a smooth run without crossing wakes from other sailors making your board bounce and bearing of with the wind is also not a good idea when you look for a smooth run. I tried for an hour and then had to stop. The lack of exercise(this was only my 4th time on a surfboard since october last year) is prominent, but that can be fixed.
Looking forward to sunday!!
