What do I think of this day....we certainly expected more of it windwise as a final test of S2 Maui Venom vs Loft Speed Blade but now on a flat course behind a dam. But as Martin and  have done a lot of comparing in this size we decided to stick to the 5.7 and 5.6. If wind would remain as it was a 6.3 would have been a better choice for sure but it would remain a mediocre day anyway....but if 40kts would eventually arrive, 5.6 and 5.7 would be the size to have. So we did a calculated gamble, and we maybe had a 30kt gust here and there but that was about it. Comments speak for themselves...but i.m.o. we certainly did not get our butts kicked!

I was nowhere in the beginning where Martin as usual in such light conditions was already kts faster...again using the huge drive from the Venom. We have seen this over and over again. I had to pull some tricks to get to spead and in the end, with a bit more wind, given the conditions I think I did pretty good against the others on their bigger gear. For me, this fin is not the perfect size on this board. I was in doubt but this was a nice confirmation. Learned a lot and I know what I need to do.
