Hardly any wind at 1.30 when we arrived. Waited a while and then Alan decided for 5.2 and I went for 5.8, expecting the wind to kick in just before 3pm. And it did. I think it was well over 20 knots average. Suddenly 2m waves a bit further out. Hard to keep your board on the water. Both changed to smaller boards, which was better. Back on the beach, when a big cloud closed in, the wind was suddenly 40kt for a minute of 10. Boards flying over the beach, hail coming down, we got sandblasted while securing our gear. Then we've had enough. Quite an adventure today.
