Seeing this problem in many other sessions:

Seems to be a generalized error, everybody affected. Pity that the crew exactly at this moment announces that they will offer less support during this holiday, which announces itself as quite windy. Would have been the ideal opportunity to fix this, it's dark around 17h.
But I'll step in here for a moment as a professionel IT support person - on my spare (potential TOW!) time.
At this time you can use the following workaround to have both a static and animated track of a session :
1. take your SD card out of the GT-31, put it in computer card reader, don't take out until after step 3
2. in GPSresults: open .SBN file from card, Upload to GPSSpeedsurfing -> this makes the static (non-animated) track visible on the site (yellow lines).
Note that when uploaded this way, the site will from now on always re-calculate the track drawing on-demand, i.e. when anyone clicks More Session info - View track on map, the entire site will become reponsive while it recalculates the track map on the fly. Depending on the lenght of the track, number of users connected, current server load etc., this sometimes leads to generalised (= affecting every user online) browser error messages "Site unresponsive", HTTP errors, etc.
By contrast, when uploading using Sessions - Upload track (the functionality that now unfortunately does not work, opening a map without track near Den Helder, but will not be fixed until 2016 due to holiday) the site calculates the track drawing once during upload, with the important advantage that no future recalculations will be done afterwards when someone clicks View track on map, which of course enhances the sites responsiveness dramatically and benefits any user.
Also, your track drawing may or may not react to scrolling commands within the map area.
3. on the GPSSS site: upload the .SBN file from card again. According to the crew, this will add the animated track to your session (have not tried it myself) :
- Sessions - My Sessions
- Edit the session (click green pencil icon).
Remark: before doing this, take note of the current value for the windspeed in Gusts because the input screen will erase this value (longest living bug on the site since I started using it mid-2012 - but it's on the fix list). You can do this by opening a new browser window on the session as it is still registered before editing your session.
- Choose File : select your .SBN file again, Submit.
I'm sure this and other basic functionalities problem will get the crews full attention after the Christmas holiday, especially since they have announced a new way of follow-up on technical issues from next year on. Certainly they will get the priorities right and first dedicate the required time and effort to address the basic issues wih track upload/display + the running fix-list, before further developing exciting new features.
A reliable basic functioning of the site benefits the sites general reputation, usability, attractiveness, reponsiveness, and stability, for both long time users and new sailors to enter the sport. I just wanted to guess the number of sailors affected by the track issue by opening an Evaluated Ranking, to get an estimate of the number of sailors having sailed this month, but keep getting the "Error 500 Sorry it's not you it's us" error. Anyway, I guess roughly about 100-200 people are affected at this moment worldwide, owing to the mild temperatures of this month.
