Waited all day for the wind to swing from straight West, to a few degrees south. It finally did so around 6pm as the tide was going out. Too choppy for the first few runs and I felt the 16.5cm fin was too small. I felt a lot of crabbing, so I came in and changed to the 18cm. It was a good move and I immediatly put on a couple of knots. It was very windy at first and I was struggling with the 5.4m Koncept, even when it was very broad for the first few runs. Then it flattened out as the wind hit the idel angle and I had my best two runs. After that the wind eased a bit and went even more south so it was very flat but not quite broad enough. I walked back with the sun starting to get close to the top of the big sand dune.

Nice session, but it felt like I should have got a lot more speed from that wind strength. I might have to review my set up a but and try some different settings. I think I have proved to myself that the tip extension on the mast is not producing more speed. The sail feels great, but is not as fast.
