Lots of promise in the wind today. The forecast was for the wind to build and my intention was to go out at the end of the day when the bay wouldn't be so busy and when the wind was due to be at its strongest.

I couldn't resist a few runs when the water seemed slightly quieter mid-afternoon but I soon stopped because it was still way too crowded to be speed sailing in what is a relatively small bay.

Come 6pm when the water was much quieter, I put on my weight jacket, carried my kit to the water and the wind promptly dropped by 10 knots. Earlier in the day the short course looked amazing but way to dangerous with so many windsurfing + kitesurfing abilities heading in every possible direction.

Still managed a few spot records (peak speed, 10s run, 250m) but the overall session could have been a lot better. Hopefully I'll get another chance at getting some good speeds tomorrow or Sunday. :)
