Hevig dagje.

Weeral kosten....
First time out with the Vapor2009 5.5m2.
Next time I'm gonna tune the sail as today: mast in, boom on and go! Haha, sail felt just great!

I had one very good run .. and that was the last one. The wind shifted a bit to perfect angle. I did not felt so fast, but: I made a PB on the 500 metres! The 10 seconds run was 68.47 and the 500 metres was 65.27 km/hr.

Also the first time with the 27cm SL7. This fin is great. It can handle quit some pressure and the boards flies over the chop.

Please give me more like these days, everything felt in place
Good wind today, lots of it, 5.8 was too big for me. Angle was very tight (square). Wanted to try my new board 56TE and like it a lot, but as with every new board I need to get used to it.

Jacques and Martin, were insanely fast, never seen anybody accelerate that fast, shooting themselves into the chop, very impressive! Still way behind these guys.

Gave Marco Bal a ride to the water, turns out he is faster than me, well that's last time I give him a ride ; )
Nice first session. Had to adapt to the conditions and the new sail for quite a while but improved during the day. The sail feels great! Need to do a bit more fine tuning. Had hoped for a better average but it was not to be. Congratulations Martin and Jacques, well done!
Right now i'm in my hotel room in France, i'm not able to post my session. I will do this tomorrow when i'm home. Or maybe Martin is able to do that with my second gt-31 without memory card i gave him.....
The one with memory card is here.

Game over, can't beat Martin anymore in conditions with 6,2 and smaller. He is super happy with the new sails and it looks like the design team made them exactly for his style of sailing.
He is flying! His 5x 2seconds average from today is 81,68! Insane in these conditions. I made a good choice to get him in the team end of last year, look forward to see him going 90+ km/h in real hardcore speed conditions.

But i managed following today;
-fastest 10 second run ever sailed on Herkingen; 78,6 km/h in THE magic windshift and gust.
-almost for sure i beat my alpha record from last week. Return speed after the gybe last week was 29 knots and today i saw sometimes 34 knots as the return speed after my gybe on my display. I look forward to see if i managed to get 55km on the alpha or not.
-5th times over 40knots 5x 10sec average this year. 74.8 or 74,9 probably.

First time on the water this year.

Like the most people said, nice wind and around 90 degrees.

Accelerating was nice, top speed was ok, average a ‘little’ disappointing.

Could not get enough speed in the 90 degrees zone…..

First time out on the new Evo 2 5.5. The sail feels very balanced with a low centre of effort. I am also starting to like the Venoms more with each session. The fins are super easy underfoot and it feels as if the combination with the Evo2 will be a dream combo, also in lighter winds. In the run up phase the fin feels dead secure and the feeling doesn't change at all when accellerating from 20 knots to +40 knots. All attention can go to the stance and the gusts in front of you. It really feels as if I've got the perfect combo this year. Everything is falling into place again now my leg is healed and the mental block is gone.
Posting from yesterday.
Fastest 10 seconds run ever on Herkingen; 78,77 km/h

Improved my Alpha racing again, hoped for an Alpha result of 55km/h but the speed on the first reach was 2 knots lower than my record Alpha from last week and the return speed was 4 knots higher (33 knots) than last week. New challenge to break the 55km/h or maybe the 30 knots barrier with Alpha racing.
Hey Jacques, just saw that you improved my Herkingen 10s record run from 78.49 km/h to 78.77 km/h, congrats!!.... seems it's about time for me to look up Herkingen again when it storms :-)
sorry,

even test
