Full on conditions with very big chop. I think it took me 20 mins to break through 30kts!Some big gusts coming through resulting in a lot of involuntary airtime. I was sailing with Ian, which kept us pushing for times despite the conditions. There was a flat (ish) patch of water in the middle of the harbour where I managed to get my times. Bit of a shame from the effort I felt I put in yesterday to not have more/higher 10 second runs!
Nigel also joined us and its a good job he did - my boom suddenly broke, simultaneously at both ends!! and it was the side I needed to get back with. I was a mile from the shore but luckily Nigel and Ian helped me in. If I had been on my own it would have been a different story - plenty of food for thought.....a big thanks guys.
Conditions in the harbour were pretty horrible, messy chop and patchy wind made things hard slow and very tiring. My set up felt wrong in these conditions, could'nt get enough speed for 26cm fin to work. Well done to Will for making the conditions look pretty easy and getting back with a busted boom.
