Get feed up of waiting for the wind to sort its self out yesterday so went for a nice picnic/walk instead so was keen to try and get out today if the wind actually came around to NE and built! Another gloomy grey day here on the East coast, been like it pretty much for a month now, its rather depressing and could really do with some sunshine! The wind did not look overly promising so spent the morning doing my exercises and then we actually got to sort out garage as our son is coming over to collect the last of his things. I have a collection of old booms, an old Starboard formula board I learned to foil on and a yellow F2 Xantos 295 all free, any takers before I take them to the dump? Then Robert messaged to say he was free after two so I took my trailer down to The Dip, dropping Mag off at The Fludgers for a walk. No one at the beach but there was enough wind to foil so I set up my board and rigged 7m as it seemed fairly breezy! I realised I had rigged too small and could have done with my 7.8 or even the 8.5! but by pumping hard I was able to get flying for most of the session having some nice long runs out to sea, only me a few terns:). The only trouble being it was wind with tide and I had a little trouble staying upwind but managed to get back OK and had some fun trying to gybe on the sea, getting closer but still no cigar! Maybe some foiling breeze tomorrow, just have to wait, and see???
