Checked Landguard weather station first thing and it looked marginal at best so I was going to give today a miss but then super keen Robert said he was heading over to Levington at 11.15 so I decided to join him with Mag assaying she would bike over for lunch:) On arriving at the marina it was very light but then there were a few gusts to tempt us to rig big and head out. Lightweight Robert had a few flying runs but I did not get close to getting out of the water, certainly not helped by my heavy old sail! So, we floundered back and forth for an hour hoping for a gust just getting cold so decided to call it a day. I got back to the beach just as Mag arrived on her bike. I then headed to the shower which was the best part of the session and quickly warmed up my feet before returning to the van for lunch. For a gloomy grey light wind day there was a variety of boats out including Swainy in a rib, he looked as cold as me! Still several windy days to come but tomorrow looking cold so perhaps will get out again on Saturday?
