At arrival it all looked very tame. Eventough 2 others where rigging 6.2 I decided to take in account the gust so rigged 5.5
When I saw 1 of the guys called Bas doing his first run it looked good, but it ended pretty soon into a white cloud of spray / crash. I was happy I rigged the 5.5 but when entering the water the wind got enormous strong. It was even difficult to keep the stuff on the water while walking towards the right depth. I thought this would be record conditions, so got onto the board with a smile and prepared for the first run. This one ended flying up in the air when there was a gust over a gust situation, followed by a big bang. I was still hooked in, and when getting the stuff back in place I felt the boom was slobby. WIth a sad feeling I thought this was the end of the session allready caused by a broken boom, but luckely it was the boomhead which opened. Looking at my watch I saw max speed of 67 km/h max so this must have been the speed I flew in the air around my mast. 

From than on I took it a bit easier and when the wind dropped I had a very nice and easy session sailing and just enjoying the chop and underpowered 5.5. 
Also I now finally sailed some km's with the tribal sym speed 27. This fin fits the invic. 88 nice, but for the invic. 74 I couldn't really get it to feel balanced. So I think the 25 cm is the right one for the 74, also in choppy condition. 

Om 16:00 uur op het water, wind was stuk minder geworden.Kon varen met af en toe ruim in red gezapig windje, relaxed dus.Golven waren er even goed nog wel.

Na de regen gestart, rond 15:30. Besloten voor een freeride sessie.Bij optuigen volle bak wind dus 4.2 gepakt. Op het water wind weg. Nog een keer terug om een zonnebril te halen en nog een keer om de trapeze af te stellen. Daarna kwam de wind terug en nog een uurtje lekker kunnen gaan.

Even het water op aangezien het zolang geleden was viel vandaag behoorlijk tegen. Bij aankomst waaide het flink maar was 6.3 de juiste zeilmaat. Zeil opgetuig en toch maar de OZ48 gepakt met de symspeed 25. De net aangeschafte asymetrische vinnen in de tas mee zodat ik op het water kon wisselen.  Tijdens het optuigen trok de wind al behoorlijk aan en begon ik te twijffelen over het opgetuigde setje.  Oke, toch maar gaan..... Het starten ging goed en het setje liep lekker, voeten in de banden en daar ging Bas. De tocht mocht helaas 400m duren, spinout, crash.... daar lag ik.  Gelukkig was mijn setje heel alleen behoorlijk last van de schouder.  Terug op de kant de falcon 89 gepakt om toch nog wat meters te kunnen varen maar dit was niet meer te doen vanwege de schouder.

Helaas geen dikke tijden gevaren maar wel weer een mooi avontuur.
