Crap really :( with a breeze forecast from dinner time on we were getting excited as it's been so'oooooooooooo poor this year and I am 20 sessions down on this time last year !!! With 14 mph on the gauge I was keen to try the Isonic 135 so rigged the 8.5 with the winds supposed to build.I had a few runs and the isonic does pick up on the plan quickly :) but if anything the wind dropped :( in for lunch, let Steve Carter have ago and then tried again as the wind increased a little.I beat easily to the Manor in the se wind but on turning around the wind turned sw and increased to 20 + I made it about half way back but gave up knackered and decided to walk home and get my bike and ride to The Dip.Here Peter Cutts was rigging 5.7 !!! I rigged a 5.6 and took the wizzard out for afew runs but was way under powered !!! so packed up and picked my isonic up on the way !!! I think I need a few tips from my formula mates on how to sail the big board really broad ???? So clouldy with a little rain and cool !!! well it is August after all and I suppose thats it for wind for another month :(
Great to have a sail at last ! warm an windy . looked cold so put on the winter suit again - much too hot ! had to jump in cool down . only my second evening sail this year - on the water after 6 .(some of us have to work for a living!!)
but this was lucky for me as i think the wind picked up just as i arrived - and some were going home.

Wind light and tried Squiz 133 slalom. Planes early but no volume in nose so sank that  few times, and sails very flat. Made me realise my board is a bit too narrow for 8.5m as when powered I cannot get leverage. Rigged my board and 8.5m which was quite nice, then 7m on 105l then finally 6m on 94l as wind picked up, but that was short while so back to 7m. Sea choppy most of time and as it got smoother I got tired and missed best conditions :-(.
