This the best day; I was considering to do a session yesterday at first, but I was expecting too much wind. So switch plans to Sunday, good choice ! Started with the CarbonArt Speed 50 and Koncept 5.0... Too small... So switch rightaway to SL1 95 and Koncept 5.8. LOL too big... Switch back to the other set again, and that was the right gamble. Did quite some runs, and the last two where perfect. But in the last run, when breaking off, I was launched of the board and a major crash. Lucky for me no injuries, and no damage to the shizzle... The crash made me decide to stop, and go home. Perfect day ! And one or two PR's ;-)

Eerste korte sessie van het jaar, was weer wennen. Zeil was wel wat aan de grote kant in de vlagen. Vin was super, deze set moet een stuk harder kunnen dit jaar.

Hiiii Haaa! First time this year on the speedstrip (second time sailing this year). Had a very nice day.. getting faster and faster on the beginning of the runs to have a good end speed. However I was on the slalom set, I broke my personal record on the average. NICE! This is just a good gear set-up :-) I hope to get more of these days in 2011! Cheers!

Premiere fois au dessus de 40 noeuds .... Yessssssss ... Gps indique vmax 41.17 noeuds ... L'année commence super bien ....

Gestart vanaf het strandje met de bedoeling van met de Cross wat tow op te doen. Wind stond echter te west en 6.2 was voor mij in de chop niet te houden. Daarom maar snel wat rustiger water opgezocht langs het dammetje. Met de Cross net de 70 niet kunnen aantikken, met een slalomboard gingen ze wel harder: Ben is het nieuwste lid van Belgische 40knots club. Mes felicitations ! Ik ga met Tim (zie Herkingen gisteren) een ander clubje oprichten. Na 5 runs was het ook dit keer bij mij weer over en out (maar we blijven erin geloven :-)

started from the other side off the lake, i think that i misted the best wind conditions. took my favorite board the Falcon 85 and the new Sonntag GPS 4, after a while went back and took the new Sonntag GPS 5. At that moment i was completely alone. The fin performed super, the acceleration was fantastic although the swell came over the wall. this speed with a slalom board, what a combo. Looking forward to the next time.

Was leuk met Menno Jeroen en Chris het board had nog veel harder gekund ik icm de 5.9 echter niet, wel prima gevaren en ja die afstand 17 km mmmmm ben van plan meer km te maken in 2011 zo gaat het niet opschieten. ps die slingshot kost een paar centen maar prima vin, doet het ook OK onder een klein slalomboardje wat mij betreft!

Dagje stoeien met nieuw materiaal.
