16 à 22 m/s (8 à 9 bf) was iets teveel van het goede voor mij !

gelukkig bracht paul mij terug (was overgestoken van botenhelling) en zijn we samen nog even op een nieuwe spot gaan surfen nabij de oesterdam, spot  "kreekraksluizen".

Wauw, zonder twijfel mijn meest heftige speedsurfdag ooit. Herkingen kookte!

En ook mijn snelste dag want weer een paar (kleine) PR's op max en AVG.

Maar....bijlange niet snel genoeg om om met de titel "Belg van de dag" te gaan lopen. Die eer is weggelegd voor Dave. Man, man, man, die vloog gewoon....recht naar het Belgische podium (?)

Dave proficiat, héél straf gedaan.

Voor mij was de 5.5 iets te groot, je moest je laten afschieten naar buiten toe, en de controle was er niet altijd meer bij. Tricky!

Maar wat een dag, met maximaal 5 man tegelijk op het water, maar wel bijna allemaal wereldtoppers (ikke niet natuurlijk ;-).

What a day. Powered up with the 5.5.

Made a big crash in the beginning and didn't had the confidence/balls to launch myself into the chop anymore. Later on i got some of it back and the runs went better. 

Congrats to everyone with the PB's and Hans with the new spot record.

Had a lot of fun so more of this epic days please! 

At first things were going not that great, got too intimidated by the conditions, as usual...

But after my second break i got he hang of it and opened straight with a run over 80!

There was a nice atmosphere with not too many sailors. 

@PB, you make sailing with this much wind look sooo easy!

@HK, congrats with your spot record, you deserve it, you went for it all the way!

@ all others, congrats with your pb's!

Finally some real wind !!!! superstoked with the spotrecord of Herkingen. This is a nice spot on the list!! It's a shame i had to work today would have been nice to sail all day and catch a few more of those real gusts. Insane max speed for this spot Jacques respect  hope we get this winds on one of the sandbar spots soon and see what's gonna happen.

It was a nice windy (and very rainy) day!! More of those days.

Zat te twijfelen wat te doen vandaag. Was benieuwd of de hoek voor Herkingen wel goed zou zijn. Toch maar en halve dag vrij genomen.

Eerst Reflex II 5.6 opgetuigd, maar het zag er veelbelovend uit dus toch maar de Reflex II 5.1 gepakt. Voor de eerste keer met dit zeil het water op.

Duurde even voordat het zaakje op gang kwam, maar al met al een lekker daggie.

In ieder geval een PR voor op Herkingen. Een kilomeetertje erbij.

Moest lang werken en kon pas laat in de avond gaan varen.

Na de verhalen van Jac, Hans en Wouter met hun UBER-snelheden had ik er ook zin in!

Helaas veel te klein opgetuigd met 5.5 , had beter 6.2 gepakt voor wat power. Nu voer ik voor mijn gevoel als een krant en toch nog deze snelheden. Interessant, ik ben benieuwd wat er mogelijk is als ik wel wat power heb en dit vlakke water.

Wow, so many PB’s on one day! Congrats to everybody for pushing there limits and breaking your PB’s… really insane speeds on the mini speedstrip..

Wished I could have been there instead of being on a mandatory citytrip :-((

Seems I have lost the last spot record I had (2s) to Jacques and Hans big time too. Big respect for the guts and skill guys to push it that fast in the chop!
