Stoked about this evening session!

I had a feeling the kuitje would be more crouded than normal...but when I drove over the dyke I did actually think I drove into a fair and found myselve looking arround for the hamburger stand and the candy stand...At least 30 cars(did not count them)

Somehow not all where on the water in the end so it was not even too croudy to speedsurf, this could have something to do with the little bit more wind than forcasted

I had a lot of fun getting to know my band new 5,8 evo 4 happy with this sail!

The fin was very comfortable for the conditions the last 2 run's I tried the narrow crossfire but this was not as easy going upwind trough the rough chop and the speeds where similair.

I did think I had a good 500m....but the runs where way too short 500m included the start and stop

In the end I set sail for the rigging area but the last 20m where a little nasty...and with the body energy meters in the red zone I had to swim and body drag the last bit..

First time at 't Kuitje, great spot.

Had a nice session today! Hopefully next time a little bit fast er again :)
A shame I only got the speeds up late in the session, then the speeds went up. When I got totally dailed in the wind was decreasing and it was time to go back to the parking.

Nice temperatures also for the end of April! (Not :P)

Moeilijk varen in het begin aan het einde gingen de tijden omhoog. PR een paar tiende verbeterd.

mooie dag op het kuitje, wind perfect voor 5.6 alleen bleef de baan een beetje hobbelig.

minimaal 30 man aanwezig, uiteindelijk maar een klein deel op het water gezien.

Leuke sessie op het Kuitje. Het begon met een valse start, een scheur in mijn mast. Nog net op tijd voor sluitingstijd bij Kater om een nieuwe mast te kopen. Net 5 runs kunnen maken, maar dat zal waarschijnlijk wel voor iedereen gelden.

Uiteindelijk kwam de baan er toch nog mooi bij te liggen, het was het wachten wel waard. Stond verhoudingsgewijs vrij groot, maar had geen probleem met de 5,8. Misschien dat een 5,5 efficiënter was geweest, temeer de baan ook niet erg ruim was. Eerste fatsoenlijke sessie met de ss 21, deze vin er maar onder gedaan gelet op alle ondiepten. Ik had geen zin in rare capriolen, dus langzaam wat vertrouwen gewonnen met de vin. Nog maar eens verschillende afstellingen proberen, maar het gevoel was goed.

This morning i didn't want to go to the north of holland because of the rainy and cold weather. Promised Hans to drive together so feel like i had to go. Kuitje is always a dangerous place with many tricky and undeep areas. I didn't feel confident at all today and was entering the course stalling to be sure not to crash with high speeds. Considering the wind strenght and water conditions my speeds were not fast enough. The guts and confidence to sail close to the bank without any fear to hit something was not there today.

Had a bad feeling about today was way out of my comfort zone. The 20 fin was a little too small as i didn't dare to go closer to the bank because of shallow spots so i had more chop. But my feeling was confirmed when i stepped from my board on the first upwind straight on to oiyster by the gap in my boot i knew this would be a nasty one but it didn't seem to bleed heavy so just sailed with it. But didn't feel comfortable today. As i got back after the session blood was coming out of my shoe when i made my first steps out of the water. Going to the doctor tomorrow to get it cleaned out because this stuff is really nasty and don't want it stitched in been there and it's hell. I'm happy its only a 3cm gap and not more. Hope to get back on the water soon but i need to take a break now. Thanks for the help cleaning Barry and Jacques for derigging my gear

I am getting better every time..

In het begin weinig controle en met de rem erop gevaren. Op het eind liep het een stuk beter, dacht 3x een 72er gezien te hebben en was zeker van een nieuw pr. Helaas niet terug kunnen vinden bij het uitlezen. Desondanks niet ontevreden met de 2e 70+ sessie deze maand.

Ik kon de knop niet vinden om de safety modus "OFF" te zetten. Het vertrouwen om onder de kant te varen had ik simpel weg niet omdat bij het checken van de baan het wel erg ondiep was. Blijkbaar hebben sommige daar geen last van . Leuk om alle bekenden weer allemaal op het Kuitje feestje te zien. Tjonge wat was het druk maar op het water viel het reuze mee. Meer wad sessies moet ik gaan doen om het chicken gehalte te laten verdwijnen.

Mooie tijden heren, goed weer om te speeden, temperatuur  ca 8 gr !!!! Bij ons was het maar 22 graden warmer (500 km zuidelijker). zonder iets te doen het zweet al op mijn kop!

Hi guys, Sorry for not posting so far. My computer is still at Serge so I couldn't analyse my tracks. I will collect it later this week. Congratulations to the NP team on their clean sweep. I did some nice runs in the beginning and quit early to make sure I kept my body in one piece. Like said before I feel I am getting ready for topspeeds again and this test was reassuring in that respect.

Sorry for posting this late. I left my computer in Serge's van after Saturdays session and only got it back yesterday.

We had a super nice session at het Kuitje, one of the most beautiful spots in the Netherlkands. The East bank looks mean, is very shallow and full of oysters. All told me I was sailing very close to the bank. That I didn't notice, but I did notice the chop while bearing off haha....I still have got the mental block but I did feel the speed is definitely back. I left early to make sure I kept my body in one piece.

Next time it's game on big boys, I clearly felt my body is ready again for the task, I just have to shut off the chicken mode and go full throttle into the chop. The only downside I really feel is the stamina factor but I guess I have to replace that by piece of mind, taking it easy and waiting for the gusts. I only hope that attitude will come one day :-)

By the way...first time on the 44 and Big Bertha 20. Both handled great and are also up to the task for sure. We'll see how it goes not long from now.
