First good test with new sail, fin and board.

Again it was bloody cold, my feet were killing me. Time for new warm boots.

It was very, very gusty. Most of the time the wind was enough to get in planee, and you have to be very lucky to have a gust during a run. 1 time I had that luck.

Sail is performing very well. Much more power than my previous 2011 7.9 Vapor. This 7.9 is low wind orientated.

Fin is OK. On a square course and especially downwind the fin feels great. For upwind I have to test it more. It feels a bit slippery on the upwind, which I did not expected.

And the board. what a difference in feeling with my previous Tabou Manta's. It took some tuning, before all felt well. I have to put the boom lower, than with my Manta's, and the masttrack more to the front. The board rides higher on the water and with my standard high boomsetting my front foot wanted to go out the strap.

Again a session, with snow on the land

Evening session, wind was slowly dropping. Everybody else just left when I went in.

Not powered up and trim wasn't proper either. Have to find my flow again after this long winter.

The sunshine was so nice, even felt warm out of the wind.

I recieved a phonecall this morning just before a was going to take my breakfast. Kurt asked me what a was going to do today.. It was sunny, I noticed that already but nevertheless I looked cold to me because of the snow that was still in my garden. I wanted to test the trim of the sails after I got some tips and tricks from some team members. I set the trim like it should be and indeed the leech appeared like I saw on the video on my facebookwall.. When a good gust hits the sail it goes like a rocket but most of the time a was rigged to small. I mean I could have used a bigger board but its still in production-mode so I have to wait a little longer. Nevertheless I learned how to rig the sail and was on the water once more. I have no regrets of the session but the wind died out slowly after a few hours. Hope the wind kicks in soon and if possible + 10 degrees would be nice too!! wink
