Finally got to try wells on a NW at last, but as we thought it's too broad and choppy. I got out pretty early and managed to get quite a few runs in at the top end of the course getting over 30 on every run in both directions.

Then as the tide droped and the sand got nearer to my new fin!!! I tried a few runs off the wind into the course, trouble was it was far broader than i'de sailed before and i think too broad for good speeds anyway, also first time on my mistral 63ltr 41cm board so was being very cautious, got 36 peak, Very very pleased with the mistral, it's easier to get going than I thought, excelleration is great and cuts through the chop with ease, i just need to get my confidence up and drive it harder then it'll fly.

Good to see Matt Yorke there again, and Sam Farrington-hunt from cambridge.

not quite the epic day we wanted but still nice to get out on speed kit ,love the point 7 ac1 5.6 ,loads of power and control in that and the w44 is awesome :)
