Four boards, only one sail, Tushinham X-15 on Speed pro Mast. Started on F2 Thommen 280 II(F-Hot 34), then F2 Thommen 305(F-Hot 37), back on the the 280 then onto the Falcon 80(Goldwing 32), end up on the Carbon Art. the wind was up and down, could have been on a bigger sail at times and on a smaller one at others.

Nice to see Crossie and Paul on te mend, hopefully the pair of yu will be sailing by the Summer.smiley

Nice blasting down the lake with Mark H, Chris B and Peter C.

Nice afternoon session with Pete, Neil and Chris and first session this year without losing or breaking a gps, so first gps post for me. Pretty hard trying figure out what would work today as it was very gusty and very up and down. At first, the wind direction was almost north westerly and loads of freeriders all over the place. Opted to rig a 7.8m cause it was light winds, maybe 15 knots, and started on the isonic 107, too small in the light winds so got the isonic 137 out, much better. Around 3.30pm, the wind kicked in, 27k to 35k and it swung more westerly, nice. Accept, it was not too nice as the 7.8m was much to big and I gad a awkward stance and couldn't make use if the good power. I figured out that the 7.8m is good for 25k to 30k gusts, anything more and it overpowers very quickly. If I had had more time, I would have rigged the 7m and W49, I think this would have been perfect for me. But we all thought the stronger wind would only last about 15 minutes so I opted not to re-rig, little mistake. Was fun:)

Going off the forecast we was only going to get light winds so I only took a big board. That was my first mistake.

As Mark was saying the wind picked up to almost perfect speedsailing winds.

My second mistake was i totally trashed myself in the light winds and was to knackered to even change down.

So I tried changing my fin to see if that was any better. That was my third mistake.

Could I get going...Nope

Always good to get out tho, when its not freezing

Mark & Neal really well with thier big sails & enjoyed watching their  little personal compertition going on cheeky
