Last day at Karpathos. It was a very nice week, time to go home...

Sista surfdagen på denna resan. Har varit lite klent med vind och dålig vinkel för att köra fort varje dag men är endå riktigt nöjd med de två veckorna som har gått. Bränt av alla PB:n jag satte förra gången jag var här samt en del andra som blivit satta i Sverige.

Ikväll blir det kött på bästa restaurangen i stan, Ellinikon!!!

The final day of these 2 wonderful weeks. The angle today was perfect, just lean into the curve and let the board fly. But the wind force was about 10 knots to little to be perfect.

This was my 13:th week on the island and the wind was not as we are used to. It is easy to get spolied by this spot. But the rest of the island delivered as usual. And the business in the town is picking up. Great to see that Greece in the right direction, hope to see a World Championship in 2016 here! If so the Swedes and the Friesländers will be prepared!

another light wind day 

Sessie 57: Mijn GPS is een beetje karig.., wel lekker gesurfd op deze laatste dag op Karpathos! Wanneer komen de n ieuwe GPS-devices?

Last day on Karpathos! First day on the Carbon Art SP53....I must say that due to the rough conditions here it is quite difficult to learn a new board ..........but I have a very good liason with the 53, very good combination with the Challenger Sails Aero 6,3 and the BPF 29. 

Thanks to Daniel for his advices....helped out a lot. I think that with a bit of training nice speeds can be achieved.

was to lazy in the morning , when the wind was here, tried out the lovemachine another time, fin was to small and the wind way to gusty, did not manage to get in to the course, switched again to my lovely slaom kit and did some nice cruising, a few rounds together with tim. aits a pity that all the swedish and dutch friends has to go home tomorrow, see you guys next time.

Day 14 at Karpathos.

Our last day at Paradise Bay. We got more wind than expected, but still not enough for my liking unfortunately. Still difficult for me to go fast in these conditions. As our last session here though it was very nice.

It's been a blast for the last two weeks (despite the lower winds than last year...) and even managed to stumble into the top 3 of the event at one point. I would've laughed at you if you had told me that up front. I wish we  could do this 2 or 3 times a year, but I guess we'll have to wait until july 2015 again. Many thanks to all who attended this year for the great competitive yet relaxed atmosphere and I hope to see you all again at Karpathos next year or some other speed venue!

Now we're off for a last goodbye dinner /drink!
