After yesterdays short overpowered session when my Xantos died!!! I had another chance today with a similar forecast, I arrived at Levington marina at 11 and luckily the rain had stopped :) I nearly rigged 7m as it was not as windy as yesterday, but with gusts of up to 25mph I went with the 6.5 again on my heavier 133. Launching from the marina and heading across the bay I was going to try to stay out for at least an hour, but after only a few runs I gybed to close to the marina entrance, fell and the tide and wind blow me right into the  marina:( which resulted in a swim out which messed up the hour attempt! Also there were some big holes in the wind which meant coming off the plan and the river was also very lumpy!  I got even closer to 30 kts today but it was very difficult going fast and as I was using a very small fin spin-out was a problem :( When I had sailed for over an hour I sailed into the dead tree lagoon on the far side of the bay – super flat water but no wind! I then spent an hour beating up to Levington creek and tried some mile runs which was challenging in the increasing winds and there was a big swell running down the river! At one point I sailed too far into the lagoon and had to walk out and then I tried one run long run too many – staring at the creek where there were loads of waders :) I headed across the river in super strong winds, losing control in the middle of river in a big swell, waterstarting I headed to the far bank right into a wind shadow :( I then had trouble getting away but then I was nearly blown off the water and I was lucky to get back to the van!!! It was time to pack up as I was having trouble getting my gear out of the water and tying my board on the tailor was next to impossible with winds now gusting to 47mph!!!!
