Winds were 30 to 35 knots here in Hood River am while at work. By the time I finished a work day the clouds were in, so wind were lighter by far. I did jump out around 6 pm with just a few other sailors. It was gusty, fingers of wind 10 to 40 meters wide at most, with lulls, some, you could glide through.
Fastest time both 100 and others were going out on port toward and then below the red channel marker.
I was on slalom gear, all open water.
I was satisfied with speeds here. My peak 10 second was 30.8 followed by 29.4 with low of 24.6 and 22,4
I may have actually sailed better at the lower speed.
In that way I had a good day, making best of water and setup.
On the other hand, I should have gone with 7.6 and 34 on the fin, that would have been far better and more fun
Lessons learned for another day:)
