Today could be a fast day at Herkingen,… enough wind in the morning, but mot the good wind direction.
When I arrived there was a lot of rain coming down…… But when the sky clears up (and the wind died a little bit), I did go rigging Code Red 6.7 and 5.6 (because wind could pick up again).
When I finished rigging, some people came back for a smaller sail. But I want to give the iSonic 50 a try. (So I’m not surprised when there is some real wind.) I did take CR 6.7, maybe not the perfect combination, but I want enough power to plane :)
After some shop hopping, I saw Marco B going behind the peer. I want to give it a shot too.
The course was very broad, but wind enough to make two runs with 69.9 and 70.6 km/h on display.
First impression of iSonic 50 on the flat water, no sticky at all and it want going…... :))
After that, the wind died. I have to walk back to the shore. Later the wind picked up a little bit, so I did go out with 6.7 and iSonic 101. A better course behind the peer. But on the flat water this board was to big.
So later when the wind picked more up again I go back for iSonic 87. I sail only a short moment on it, but I can say that this board feel really light gliding and very nice in the chop.
A day where somebody was playing with the switch of the fan.
But a nice day trying some new stuff.
