the Steinhuder Meer speed crew decided to visit our dutch neighbours (our home lake is closed in the wintertime because auf bird protection).

We tested the spot for the first time and got a good and windy day! We were astonished to see nearly 200 people on the water with more than 50 Speeders in the end of November.The water level was really low (under knee height) and this was a bit challenging to start the small boards, as well as free your mind for full power riding with only 5 cm water under the fin. puuh! Never walked that much within a surf session ... a good training for our wades :-) 

A nice trip with Manfred and Ralf... everybody had something to test Manfred his new KA sals, Ralf his 45cm Fanatic and I had the second ride on my Patrik 48cm. For the most of the session I had a to small fin and could not give full pressure on the tail (23 cm KA symmetrical, 21 cm C3 Slingshot). In the end the Hurricane 24 cm weed fin worked well against the  weed on the ground and I could push the tail.

We had a good trip and will join you again with hopefully a higher water level ;-)
