Hard day, not only because it was difficult to get good speeds on the fixed course of mondial du vent, but mostly because it was one of those record days 2 km more upwind. I think today it was simular to other days i sailed 45 or 46 knots averages more upwind on our GPS track. But today i was competing on a 500 meter fixed course close to La Franqui village with many challenges, first i had to share the track with 50 other windsurfers and kitesurfers, second there was a sandbank 100 meters before the finish line. Kitesurfers could go easely over it, windsurfers could go between the sandbank and the coastline but then you had only a gate of 1,5 meters, or you could go sailing around in on a less flat course. I did everything i could but my speeds are not so good. Funny to see my 500 meter is higher than my 5x10 seconds average, this never happened before in La Franqui or anywhere else if i look back all my GPS sessions. Respect for Antoine, he was even competing the top kitesurfers. Don´t know where i am in the results right now, 2 times i passed a girl on the course (my mistake) and i hope the time keeping will correct this in the results. If i'm with the top 5 windsurfers i would be happy for today and i hope to do better next days. It will be less windy and i don't like that so much.
