Second session of the day. In total did +130 kms today !! It's already my 5th +100 km day in 2 months!!

Didn't went very well in the beginning. Couldn't find the correct trim and only after one hour struggling to find out why (Dirk did already a 67 max) i decided to change the fin. I had a Crossfire 25 in the beginning and my runs were always around 58-59 with max of 60. Changed to the C3 Slingshot 22 and my first run (in same wind conditions) resulted in a run of 64,55 and max of 68,8 ?!? That's more then 10% faster. I still cannot understand why? The Crossfire 29 and 31 are very good fins (see also my earlier session today), but the 25 didn't work out for me today. Very strange. Need to test more.

After finally founding the right setup my energy level was already in the red with some cramps in the arms and legs. At that time i did already 120kms... In the evening the wind started to build up and when we left the water, there were gusts of +30 kts!! Too bad i didn't had the energy to so dome descent runs....

Next week it's exactly a year ago that i had my serious spinout crash and it's also a year ago that i went over 70 kmph. Today it was the day to do it, but i failed. At least on the 2 sec. Max (1sec)  I had 71.35 on 1 GPS. Guess I am more a light and medium wind surfer...

Quite scary with weed everywhere. Saw some catapults today, luckily I could hold it in once piece today.

Big Ed was flying on his big set. Even in 30kts wind it seems so easy when you see him coming. His board and sail is locked form beginning till the end: it's like a tanker coming to you at +70 kmph. Insane !!

@ Pat E: congratz with your PR with such an old board and WAVE fin !!. You did some nice alpha's indeed on your 'strijkijzer'.

Had some beers and fries in the local 'vriendschap' with Dirk and Pat before heading home (01u40 am...). Yeah i like summer time !!
